Glenn Marvin Boswell

Glenn “Oscar” Boswell 67, of Louisville, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at Baptist Health Hospital. Glenn was born April 28, 1947 in Louisville to the late James and Virginia Stivers Boswell. He graduated from Dupont Manual High School. Glenn was married to the love of his life, “Sweet baby Mae” Shirley Boswell “Mae” on January 9, 1970. They were married for 45 years.

Glenn worked for and retired from Ford Motor Credit and was a member of Highview Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his grandkids either coaching them or just having a great time. He also invested in young people by coaching football, baseball, basketball and softball. All the while showing and teaching the love of Christ. He lived life as an example we can all follow.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Shirley, two children, Wendy Thomas (Howard) and James Boswell (Kerrie), four grandchildren, Allie, Cassie, Ryan and Landon, a sister, Brenda Dupaquier and a brother, Greg Boswell.

A Celebration of Glenn’s Life will be conducted Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 12:00pm in Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Reverend Larry Smith of Highview Baptist Church will be officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 1:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Athletic Departments of Whitefield Academy or Portland Christian School.
