Mr. Gerald Clinton Wheeler, 88, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, May 30, at the Masonic Home of Kentucky, in Louisville, KY. . Mr. Wheeler was a school orchestra teacher/director and building contractor in Idaho, Wyoming, and Nebraska before moving to Louisville in 2001. He sang in the Concordia Lutheran Church Choir in Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Frieda; his son, Glenn; and eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara, of Louisville, and two brothers, Carroll and Wesley.
Memorial service will be Thursday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church, 1127 E. Broadway, Louisville, KY. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 2, from 5-7 p.m.for family, and friends, at Arch L. Heady Russman & Sons , 1201 E. Oak Street, Louisville, KY 40204.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Concordia Lutheran Church, Masonic Home, or the UofL Foundation designated for the Music Therapy Program.
