George E. Riggs Jr.

He was born November 13, 1931 in Louisville, the son of George and Frances Riggs. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy Seiferid, Elizabeth “Betty” Riggs (SL).

He attended Christ the King, Flaget, St. Joe College, where he was a scholarship football player, and the University of Louisville. He was also a US Army veteran. He was a very loving and caring man who took great pride in his work as a CPA and Attorney.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia “Pat” Riggs; children, Sherrie (Ralph) Antes, Lisa (Jake) Zaborsky, Stephen “Steve” Riggs, Scott (Melissa) Riggs, Belinda (Ronnie) Sutherland, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3-8 P.M on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. A service will be conducted at 11 AM on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with private burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be given to Hosparus or Little Sisters of the Poor.
