Mr. Proffitt owned Proffitt's B & T Auto Sales in Fairdale.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Harrell; a daughter, Misty Goodman; a son, Travis Proffitt (Beth); two stepsons, Danny Harrell (Kim) and Chance Harrell; 10 grandchildren, Dakota, Kenny, Bridgette, Ethan, Baily, Otto, Little Chance, Luke, Jaden and Dylan; seven great-grandchildren, Kenzlee, Axil, Stephen, Kendall, Haylee, Olivia and Bree; sisters, Lavone Mattingly (Roger) and Pamela Hartlage; and brother, Kerry Proffitt (Thereasa).
His funeral will be on Tuesday, November 27th, at 12 noon at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-8pm and Monday from 10am until 8pm.
