He was a past president of the Central Cardinal Club and an avid U of L fan.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents; Leroy and Dorothy Sumner.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifteen years, Mary "Poots" Sumner; step-son, Gary Fenwick (Debbie); a brother, Barry Sumner; (Barbara) three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, which includes the love of his life, Lilly Weibel; and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Frank is also survived by his special friend, Jackson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Mr. Sumner chose cremation. A celebration of Frank's life will be held in the event room at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 2 p.m.- 4 p.m.
