Floyd H. Booth, 87, of Louisville passed from this life on Saturday May 4, 2013 at Baptist Health. He was a retired employee of the old B. F. Goodrich (Geon) Chemical Co. Life Member, Past Master, & (former secretary for more than 30 years) of Plumb Lodge #862, F & AM, Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of KY, F & AM, 1989/1990, 32nd Degree KCCH, Scottish Rite Mason, York Rite Mason, Kosair Temple Shriners, Order of Sojourners International, Hero’s of ’76, Life Member of the Order of Eastern Star #16, Life Member of International Order of DeMolay, and an Honorary DeMolay Legion of Honor, past president of Masonic Secretaries Association of Jefferson County, 1975; life member of the Past Masters Societies of Central Kentucky and Northern Kentucky, a Kentucky Colonel, an Ordained Deacon and longtime member of Ninth & O Baptist Church, Shively Baptist Church, and Cloverleaf Baptist Church, and a Navy Veteran of W. W. II, having served in the South Pacific and Atlantic Theaters. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Rose McKinney Booth. He is survived by his wife, Doris P. Miller-Booth; daughter, Rose Anna Booth; sisters, Goldie B. Whitsitt, and Beulah Jean Webber; several nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Floyd’s life will be held at 12:00 pm Friday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Masonic Section. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Thursday. Memorial gifts may be made to, Masonic Homes of Kentucky, Louisville Scottish Rite Foundation, Kosair Shrine Children’s Hospital or charity of choice.
