Ezra Parrott “Bunt”, 91, of Louisville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 12, 2021 under the care of Hosparus at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. He was born December 29, 1929 in Woodlawn, KY to the late Ezra Parrott and Della Catherine Crume Parrott. He was a retired Maintenance Mechanic with Container Corporation of America / Jefferson Smurfit Corporation with 38 years of service. He was a member of Vine Street Baptist Church and an active volunteer who maintained the grounds and general maintenance of the church. A farmer at heart, an avid gardener, and a devotee of home-grown tomatoes. He had a generous spirit and enjoyed helping those around him, especially his beloved wife, Florence.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Bob Parrott, Jasper C. Parrott; and sisters, Rachel Ann Burns, Ruby Catherine Isham and Margie Hardin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Margaret Florence (Brown) Parrott; three sons, Mitchell (Diane), Roger (Donna) and Scott (Noelle); two daughters, Tamara Hankins, Lisa Rolfe (Andrew) and grandchildren, Leah and Jeremy Parrott, Maia and Peter Rolfe, two great-grandchildren, Regan & Rylee Keen. Due to Covid-19, the family will hold a private memorial followed by burial in St. Michael Cemetery, Louisville.
