She was a retired waitress for the old Country Cottage restaurant and a member of the former Valley Station Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ruby G. Cook Sr., and children Ruby Cook Jr. and Brenda Joyce, and brothers Carl, James, and Ben Wells.
She is survived by her children Eugene Cook (Carmen), Pat Collins (Walter), Lou McDougale (Glenn), Don Cook (Delcia), Gayle Angel, Pam Cole, Steve Cook, and Rebecca Whitaker (Patrick); a brother, Lindell Wells (Edith); 20 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, followed by burial at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
