Emma J. Bryant

Emma “Jean” Bryant, 93, of Louisville passed away on October 15, 2022. She was born September 1, 1929 to the late James and Florence Hoagland. Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Eugene Bryant and her son Dr. Eugene A. Bryant.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Linda Joshlin (J.C.), Gale Minnic (Stan), and Steve Bryant (Terri), grandchildren; Kelly Holt (Jennifer), Leann Phillips (Bryant), Joshua Minnic (Julie), John Minnic (Leona), and Josh Limbrick (Gina). She was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren.

Jean volunteered on various mission projects through Southeast Christian Church which included making dresses for girls overseas. She was a talented seamstress as well as cook. Her chocolate cupcakes and perfect grilled cheeses will be deeply missed by her grandkids and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 19, 2022 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady Westport Village at 1pm with visitation prior from 11am-1pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southeast Christian Church 920 Blankenbaker Pkwy. Louisville, KY 40223.
