Born in Fleming – Neon, Kentucky on Tuesday, July 15, 1947 Elsie was the daughter of James Thomas Goodman & Geneva Young. Elsie lived her life taking care of her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She cared and loved everyone she knew, especially caring for her daughter, Dana. She could be found laughing, when in the company of her husband, Bert; and dear life – long friends, Linda Craft and Josenha Henry Louis. Her greatest family moments were moments filled with the achievements of her children and grandchildren, accomplishing their dreams and growing into caring, loving adults.
Elsie retired from Mesa Foods after 20 years of dedicated service where she was a line supervisor, but she was most proud of the opportunity, not only to own, but to help run Webb’s Chevron. During her life, Elsie held a special attention to the love and support that she saw among her family and dear friends. She cherished the memories and conversations with Linda & Josenha, her life – long friends. Her home was always open to those she loved, helping anyone she could. It was a guarantee that when you came to Elsie’s house, you would get a great breakfast and dinner, and maybe some of her banana pudding! She loved to shop and bake, but most of all she cherished spending time with her family, her sons, grandchildren and the many trips with the girls.
She loved most, making sure that everyone knew how much she cared and loved them with all her heart! Elsie would like to be remembered as a happy and caring person. Elsie lived a full life! A life well – lived!
Besides her parents, James T. & Geneva Goodman; her grandparents, Arthur C. & Nannie Bain Young; her daughter, Dana Webb; her grandson, Devin Webb; her siblings, Ray Goodman, Van Goodman, Harold Goodman, Dennis Goodman, Wilma Mullins & William Goodman, precede Elsie in her passing.
