After graduation from DuPont Manual High School, he served in the Army Air Corps in North Africa and Italy during World War II and Barksdale Air Base in Louisiana during the Korean War.
He married Willetta (Penny) Lyons in 1940 and lived in Louisville and Fern Creek, before retiring from DuPont Rubber Company and moving to Sanibel Island, FL. After Willetta passed away, in 1988, he later married Beulah Leathers. Beulah passed away in 2010. He will be missed by family and friends.
He is also preceded in death by brothers Paul, Allan, Neal and Ronald.
He is survived by his daughter, Anita Meyer, Winter Haven, FL, and Lynn Arnold, Louisville, KY, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Elliott loved playing golf, traveling, boating, water sports and feeding the birds.
A special thanks to the residents and staff at Horizon Bay of Louisville, for the wonderful care and friendship over the past 5 years.
Memorial service and interment will be at Memorial Gardens, Ft Myers, FL.
Memorial gifts may be given to The Home of the Innocents.
