Elizabeth Marshall Grawemeyer 99, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010. She was born December 30, 1910 in Louisville, KY, to the late Martin Luther and Eva Lancaster Marshall. She was a retired secretary for the License Bureau for Jefferson Co., She also worked for Stewart's, and Sears. She also owned and operated the Merchandise Mart for many years.
She was the oldest member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, and also a member of Crescent Hill Woman's Club, and Lyndon Woman's Club.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Edward Grawemeyer
She was dearly loved, and called Bubba by her family including her nieces; Virginia Fry, Sue Catlin, Nancy Stonesifer, Wanda Lee Wiegland, and Ada Lee Kane. Her great nieces and Nephew; Ginger Arnold, Linda Mulloy, and Lloyd Fry Jr., and her many great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 2800 Frankfort Avenue, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends may call at Noon Monday at the church.
