Born on Friday, October 6, 1939 in Frakes, Kentucky, Elden was the son of the lates, Harve Leadford & Magnolia Miracle. Elden retired from GE in 1999 after 29 years. Elden and his wife, Ruby moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1971 to live happily ever after. Elden will be remembered by his grand and great grandchildren for always having hugs, Cokes, Little Debbies and $20 dollar bills and always making sure everyone had everything they needed and more.
He will be so missed and all memories will be cherished.
Besides his parents, Harve & Magnolia Leadford; his wife, Ruby Leadford; daughter, Donna Leadford; sisters, Irene Willis and Rose Jordan; and brother Joe Leadford, precede Elden in his passing.
Left to cherish his memory, he leaves behind his son, Elden (Rita) Leadford, Jr.; 5 - grandchildren, Josh leadford, Stephen Leadford, Abby Wolford, Kelby Leadford and Kaleigh Leadford.; 7 - great - grandchildren, Kayden, Taylor, Josh, Wyatt, Atlas, Leo and Ruby; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the Heady Memorial Chapel of the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel. Elden will be laid to rest in the Chapel of Apostles of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums at a later date. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. and then again on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Hour of 12:00 p.m. also at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel.
