Reverend Edward Frank Redmon, 90, of Louisville, was born May 29, 1926 and passed on September 17, 2016 at home with his loving family by his side. He resided with his wife of 69 years, Darleen Redmon at Treyton Oak Towers.
Reverend Eddie Redmon was a pastor of three Nazarene Churches in Louisville. He started the Okolona Church of the Nazarene, then pastored at St. Matthews and after retiring he filled in at Calvary but stayed as their pastor. His love of people and serving God was his life mission. He also enjoyed real estate and held a license with Coronado Real Estate for a number of years.
Eddie was predeceased by a son, Eddie Keith Redmon.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Darleen Adamson Redmon; two daughters and sons in law, Glenda and Jim Grant of Sugar Hill, GA, Nelda and Paul Hunt of Lincoln, NE, and daughter-in-law, Margaret Redmon of Nashville, TN. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Amy BIrkholz (Paul), Natalie Tysdal (Tyler). Molly Parks (Ben), Jamie Hunt (Tasha), Laura Corder (Clinton), Keith Redmon (Kristi), Troy Grant (Christy), Tiffany Grant and 13 great-grandchildren, Connor and Adrienne Birkholz, Addy, Callie and Johnny Tysdal, Henry Parks, Madi, Harrison and Hadley Hunt, Callen and Ryan Corder, Kenzi and Jackson Redmon and Harper Grant.
He will be missed by so many he made smile and gave comfort to in their times of need.
A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from noon until service time.
