Edward Emmanuel Lankford

Edward was a WWII & Korean War Army veteran. He retired after 30 years of service from the Air National Guard as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of Ekron Baptist Church, Ekron, KY and Valley Masonic Lodge #511. Edward coached little league baseball for many years, and enjoyed golfing, fishing and gardening.

Edward is preceded in death by his former wife, Lassie Lankford; biological parents; 4 siblings; 2 step-sons; and the Linams, who raised him.

Edward is survived by his wife, Geraldine “Irene” Lankford; children, Jacqueline Lankford, Patricia Warren, and Dennis Lankford (Debbie); step-children, Bill Taylor (Denise) and Mel Vaughn; grandchildren, Patrice Wilkins (Tony), Bobbye Blackburn (Brad), Alee Osborne (Corey), and Cody Lankford; and 3 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor the life of Edward will be held 2pm Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Evergreen Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11am-2pm at the funeral on Thursday.
