Edna Rose Kelly

She was born in Beantown, Kentucky to Richard Henry and Mary Rose Newton Gootee. She has 13 brothers and sisters.

Edna moved to Louisville, Kentucky and married Timothy C. Kelly where they spend 50 wonderful years together. They had two daughters during that time with one another, Joyce A. Smithson and Alice M. Smith (Frank). Edna is survived by her daughters along with many nieces and nephews.

She was a great wife, mother, aunt, and friend to all. She was known for her great cooking. Company would come and she would have a huge meal prepared and on the table in a very short time. Edna was always there. She felt and always knew when someone needed help.

A visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218 on May 29, 2024 from 3PM to 8PM. A funeral service will be the following day on May 30, 2024 at 12PM in the funeral home chapel. Edna will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
