Born November 8, 1957, she was a native of Nashville, TN and graduated from Maplewood High School in that city. After high school, she pursued a career in video and radio production, primarily with the Film House and AdMark companies in Nashville.
In 2006, she moved to Louisville, KY to be near her life companion, J.D. Raine. Thereafter, she was employed at Humana for the remainder of her working career.
She is survived by her sister Glenda (Roy) Davis, sister in law Donna Johnson, together with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Haston E. and Ella C. Johnson; and her brothers Samuel H. Johnson and James V. Johnson.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 11:00am at Forest Lawn Cemetery, located at 1150 S. Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN. 37072.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Edie’s honor be made to the ALS Foundation or to the donor's favorite animal rescue operation.
