Doug Shell, 83, passed away Thursday at Baptist Hospital East. He was born October 18, 1927 in Knoxville, TN to the late John C. and Dora Minett Shell. He was a retired employee of General Electric, and a longtime member of Christian Assembly Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughters, Melanie & Robin Keehn, and his brother, John C. Shell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Loretta Thomas Shell, his daughter Judy Keehn (Louis), and many nieces and nephews and their children.
A service to celebrate Doug’s life will be held at Noon on Monday at Christian Assembly Church, 9020 Stonestreet Road, with burial at Beth Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, and after 11 AM Monday at the church.
