Dorothy Rita Masterson

Dorothy Rita Masterson, 89, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away May 6, 2018 surrounded by her family. She loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything. Dorothy was a member of Southeast Christian Church and enjoyed being a part of Bible Study. She also loved to dance, travel and the Kentucky Derby.

Preceding Dorothy in death is her husband, Richard Masterson; her parents, Charles and Mary Koch and her sisters, Betty and Mary Ann.

Left to cherish Dorothy’s memory are her children, Connie Pentz-Long (Lary), Linda Hanby (Dennis), Lou Steiner, Dori Hagford (Brad), Vicki Skurka (Jeff) and Jim Steiner (Linda). Her grandchildren, Angela, David, Peter, Nathan, Elijah, Hannah, Louis, Katie, Jessie, Kelly, Jacob, Meryl, Jennifer, Teresa, Mark, Kristen, Joshua, Jeremy, Christian and several great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings, Charles Koch (Carolyn) and Joan Breckel (Joe).

Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven from 4:00pm-8:00pm. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 10:00am at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218 with interment to follow at Lebanon National Cemetery, 20 Hwy 208, Lebanon, KY 40033.
