Dorothy Louise Compton, 88, of Louisville passed on Wednesday at Christopher Healthcare East.
She was retired from the Ft. Knox Dental Clinic as a Dental Assistant and was former President of the KY Dental Assistants Association. Dorothy was a former Trustee for the ADAA and was a member of Brandenburg (KY) United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo "Bud" Compton and a sister, Betty Ruck.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Judy Taylor (Shelby) and Lonnie Compton (Sandra); four grandchildren, Courtney Grumley (Bryan), Susan Marcum (Kelly), Jason Compton (Russel) and Joshua Compton; five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Eastlawn Cemetery in Brandenburg. Visitation will be held in the parlor of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road in Louisville from 2-7 on Friday.
