Dorothy Renee Byrd, 63, of Louisville was born on June 29, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Otha and Alice (Cole) Byrd, and passed from this life on April 12, 2018 at the Hosparus Inpatent of Louisville. Mrs. Byrd was a former employee of Tube Products. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Charles Wayne Spurgeon, Jr. (Amanda) and Bradley L. Spurgeon (Melissa); her father, Otha Byrd; Siblings, Larry Byrd, Gary Byrd, Charles Byrd, Vickie Stone, Nedra Francis, Jerry Overstreet, and Timothy Overstreet; grandchildren, Sarah Allen, Makayla Spurgeon, Rebecca Watts, Kortyne Crump, Baylee Spurgeon, Ashley Underwood and Brandon Underwood; and 3 great grandchildren, Ben, Lilly, and EJ. Funeral service for Mrs. Byrd will be held at noon on Wednesday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with entombment to follow in Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm on Tuesday.
