Doris Jean Ott

Doris Jean (Kolb) Ott went to her heavenly home on February 18, 2017. She was born to the late William and Catherine (Paulin) Kolb on June 24, 1928 in Louisville, KY. She graduated from Presentation Academy in 1946 and married the love of her life, Robert Ott on May 8, 1948. She was a charter member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic minister and lector. For years she volunteered for the St. Athanasius monthly mailing group and developed cherished friends. The mailing group took many trips together and supported each other throughout their lives. But above all else, she was a devoted wife, mother and daughter. Her family meant everything to her. Doris was blessed to have many good friends and family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers; William Kolb Jr.(Benita) and Gerald Kolb(Sue), and brother-in-laws; Fred and Kenneth Ott. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 years, Robert Ott, seven children; Deborah Ott(Steve Wade), Susan Mateja(David), Rebecca Seitter(Allen), Robert Ott Jr.(Joyce), Kenneth Ott(Berta), Stephen Ott(Beth), and Jennifer Ottman(Ray), thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, February, 25, 2017 at 11am at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, Louisville, KY 40219, with Interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8pm at Arch L. Heady & Son FH. 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, KY. 40219.
