Doris Stengel Gollar Cornelius, 96, passed away on January 20, 2022. She was born April 23, 1925 to the late John and Frances Stengel.
Doris graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1943, she was the former minister of catechism at St. Rita Catholic Church and St. Stephen Martyr.
Her beloved husband, Clay Cornelius Jr, siblings, Jack and James Stengel and Martha Bacon, precedes Doris in death.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Owen W. Gollar (Sonny/Penny), John T. Gollar (Terry/Sandy) and Brian L. Gollar(Twyla), step daughters; Brenda Cornelius and Paula Price, God mother to Judy Saunders “a special niece”, ten grandchildren and seventeen, great grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen. Memorial Mass will be held later at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Rita Catholic Church.
