Donna Edelen Costello

Donna was born February 6, 1949 in Lebanon, KY to John Patrick and Lucille Edelen.

Donna was a teacher and had taught at Guardian Angels Catholic School in the 1970’s. She also worked 22 years at St. Rita Catholic Church in Sacramental Records. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her father; John Patrick Edelen and sisters: Sharon Downs and Renee Howard.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 48 years, Charles (Roger) Costello; son: Patrick Edelen Costello (Erica); grandchildren: Elena Rose and John Patrick, all of New Orleans, LA; mother: Lucille Lyvers Edelen of Holy Cross, KY; brothers: Chris (Debbie) of Bardstown, KY and Rob (Kim) of Holy Cross, KY; and a host of aunts, an uncle, nephews, cousins, and a circle of friends including her best friend, Mary Pat Cole.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 12th from 2-8pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. A prayer service will be held Friday evening at 6pm. Visitation will also be held Saturday, May 13th from 9 to 10am. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy. on Saturday, May 13th at 11am. A private burial will be at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery in Holy Cross, KY.
