Donald Van Smith

Donald Van Smith, 35, of Louisville passed away February 11. 2014. Donald was born in Lexington, Kentucky and was a loving family man, a fan of fishing, eating seafood, the Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes.

Donald is survived by his loving wife; Melissa Patterson Smith, their children, Kaniya, Xaviyer, Ariyana, Dominyck, and Makenzey Smith, his mother; Fredia and step-father Edward Adams, his father; James III and step-mother Georgetta Smith, brothers Amir (Rhonda) Raheem, James Edward IV, Sean (Dana) Smith and Gregory Smith, and sister; Robyn Williams, grandmother Margaret Sartin and a special nephew; Donte Smith and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his grandfather; Fred Sartin, nephew; Holden Smith and uncle; Dwight Sartin.

A celebration of Donalds life will be 11 am Saturday, February 15 at Canaan Christian Church, 2840 Hikes Lane, Louisville KY., with intermnet to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday February 14 at the Canaan Christian Church.
