Donald K. Petty, Sr., 85, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East.
He was a retired self-employed truck driver, a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and Boaz Masonic Lodge 850, and was a Navy veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Edlin Petty; a daughter, Linda Clark; and a grandson, Donnie Petty III.
He is survived by a son, Donald K. Petty, Jr. (Debbie); daughters JoAnn Tharp (Frank) and Sandy Tharp (Robert); 9 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday at Arch L. Heady Russman & Sons Funeral Home, 1201 East Oak Street, followed by burial at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service on Tuesday.
