Mr. Mullins worked for the old L&N Railroad as an Assistant Trainmaster and Agent, being transferred from Birmingham, AL to Louisville, KY in 1963. After retirement he worked for a wonderful company, Value Tools, who treated him and his wife, like family.
He met his wife, Betty, when his sister, Evelyn, brought her to her home as they worked together at Bell Telephone. Donald started dating Betty and her brother, Ray, started dating Evelyn! Both couples married and their children became double first cousins!
Mr. Mullins was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his brothers, Charles and Denver; and his sisters, Evelyn and Ruth.

Donald loved being in the Masonic Shriners Greeters unit- marching in parades, hosting a safari with Joe and Algene Sheeley that will never be forgotten and entertaining them with his keyboard skills. He loved studying the end of time in the Bible and would only read nonfiction. He was extremely intelligent and well versed in history and war time events. He was a Kentucky Colonel. He loved flying planes and riding motorcycles! Donald and his wife loved going on cruises and other trips. They danced like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and many on the cruises would come see them dance!
