She was a bookkeeper for many years. She was sent to automotive business training in Denver while she lived in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and the only woman in this position at that time and place in the mid 1940's. While in Steamboat she had the honor of being Rodeo Queen and skied the same slopes with the Alpine team that became the WWII 10th Mountain Division, before their deployment to Italy. She then moved to Kentucky to be near family, and where she met her future husband and love of her life Clem R. Jarvis. She was married to him for 50 years. While married they traveled and lived in the Rio Grande valley of Texas for 23 winters. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, doing things for family, neighbors and her church.
