Born April 9, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky, Dixie was the daughter of the late Robert A. Watson & Betty Sherrard. She attended the St. James Church. She was a retired production line worker in the Tool & Die Industry and worked part-time for the local Save A Lot as a cashier, but would help in any capacity she could. Dixie was a feisty and independent lady but she truly had a heart of gold, a servant’s heart. She never met a stranger, willing to help in any way she could, even if it meant she had to do without. She was the matriarch of the family, always proud of her son, Paul. She had a love for animals & was loved by everyone, Dixie lived a full life, a life well lived!
Her parents, Robert A. Watson & Betty Davis; brother, Harold Watson; & her beloved dog, Scooter, precede Dixie in her passing.
Left to cherish her unforgettable memory is her son, Paul (Mary) Pruitt; brother, Robert Watson; nieces, Bev Watson & Pam Watson; plus, a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives & dear friends to mourn her passing.
In lieu of flowers & customary expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions can be made to any Cancer Center or Research of your choice.
