She is preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and Hubert Stephens, and her daughter, Angelique Ott.
She is survived by her husband, John L. Ott Jr; her sister, Carol Hazen; her son, Michael Ott; a niece, Julie (Paul) Mattingly, a niece Jenny (David) Quinn, and her beloved grandson, John L. Ott III as well as other family members.
Diane spent the early years of her life as a wife and mother, raising her children. Later in life, she became a corporate event planner and worked on major projects in California, Michigan, Massachusetts, and Georgia. Upon the family moving to Florida, she retired from the corporate world.
Diane would later focus her talents on hosting multiple yearly events for veterans in the Tampa Bay area. She was recognized by the Hillsborough County Commissioners for her outstanding nine years of service to the Tampa community.
A service to celebrate Diane’s life will be conducted at 11 AM on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the Duncan Chapel at Floydsburg Cemetery, 5600 Old Floydsburg Rd. Crestwood, KY. Burial will follow in the family plot at Floydsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, KY.
