Denise LaVerne Ragland, 60, of Fairdale passed from this life on December 29, 2014. She was a former nurse for the Jefferson County Health Dept., a graduate of Murray State University, and a member of the Auburndale Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, Willard L. Ragland, and an aunt, Emma Jewell Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Margaree Ragland; uncles, Raymond Byers and Bob Ragland (Martha); aunts, Wilma Byers and Nellie Gross; cousins, Rita Byers, Joseph Ragland, Tony and Dennis Gross. A service to celebrate Denise’s life will be held at 10 am Saturday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Private burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Ohio County.
