Delmar Donald Lee Puckett

Delmar Donald Lee Puckett, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky went to his Heavenly home on Thursday, February 8, 2024.  He was born in Louisville Kentucky to Delmar and Francis Puckett on February 12, 1943. Donald worked for several years at Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation until its closing and then served the remainder of his career as a plant manager for Zena Corporation.

Donald, a talented artist, enjoyed drawing and woodworking. He was an animal lover whose hobbies included raising pigeons and chickens and being a breeder of Staffordshire Bulls Terriers and Rat Terriers. He loved keeping a meticulous yard and collecting tools of all kinds.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 39 years, Treva Guthrie Puckett; children, Tina Brent (Lee), Christy Yarbrough (Bill), Tiffany Smith (Lee), and Autumn Johnson (Theia); grandchildren, Curtis, Samuel, Brad, Dylan, Jared, Christopher, Cameron, Noah, Kyra, Aria, Xander, Ryder and Savannah; great-grandchildren, Laila, Clara and Jackson; siblings, Theresa Greenwell and Donnie Ray Evans; and many extended family members and loving friends.

Donald's family wishes to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to Theia “TJ” for serving as his caregiver over the last few years. Her love and kindness were such a blessing and will never be forgotten!

Visitation for Donald will be Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 3pm to 7pm at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home - Okolona, 8519 Preston Highway 40219.  The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 10:30am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery, Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
