David Kermit Pifer

David Kermit Pifer, age 89, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022. David was born in the Germantown neighborhood on July 5, 1932. David is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Loretta Pifer, brothers; Harold M. Pifer and Eugene Pifer, beloved wife Irene (Gaines) Pifer, and grandson Michael W. Pifer.

Left to cherish David's memory are his three children; David W. Pifer (Jatana), Cindy K. (Pifer) Hedges, and Kevin D. Pifer (Kim). Four grandchildren; April Moore (Allan), Krystal Hedges-Dipa (Jasmin), Emily Pifer, and Sarah Pifer. Three great-grandchildren; Isha-Angelique Hedges, Jasmine Hedges, and Sean Hedges.

David served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a radio operator. He retired as a photoengraver from the Riverport Plant at Standard Gravure Co. in Louisville, Ky.

A visitation for David will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40222. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 18, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
