He was born on April 29, 1955, to the late Marlene and John Lowe, of Louisville.
He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He was a graduate of Butler High School (’74) and Sullivan College 2004. Also an honorably discharged Air Force Veteran. He was employed by many local hospitals, but retired from Norton Clark Memorial Hospital. He was a front line worker during the Covid Pandemic. He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America. His riches were his family and friendships.
Here to carry on his memory, are his wife of 44 years, Lydia Hitsman Lowe; son, Daniel A. Lowe (Marissa Royalty); sister, Debra L. Lowe (Michael Mitchell); two grandsons, Troy “Killian” Royalty Lowe and John “Clyde” Royalty Lowe; aunt, Karen Lowe (Michael Leanhart); three brother-in-laws, Robert Hitsman (Terri Gilmore), Chuck Hitsman (Robin Howard), and Michael Hitsman (Debbie Fagan); along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A service to celebrate David’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 24, at 1 PM, at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home. Guests are invited to attend visitation from 3 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, April 23, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest with Honors at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery Central following the service.
