He enjoyed life in California from swimming and surfing in the ocean to skiing in the mountains.
Dan is best known for his work with movie/television and stage production: Warner Bros, 20th Century Fox, Paramount Studios, Sony Studios, CBS Studios, NBC and the Tonight Show, ABC Studios, DreamWorks, Cirque Du Soleil. In 1996 Dan assumed the responsibility for Fall Protection/Rescue training for the AMPTP movie studio union in Hollywood, California.
His final movie production project was “Mission Impossible 4” filmed in Dubai. The filming was conducted 162 floors high in the world’s tallest building.
Dan became the National Safety Training Manager at Werner Co. continued to engineer fall protection safety.
He met and married his sweetheart, Lesha, and moved to Louisville, Kentucky.
Dan was preceded in death by his daughter, Laci Ward; mother, Judith; and brothers, Rob and Chris Ward.
He will be missed by his wife, Lesha; siblings, Michael, Terri, Mary Ellen and Alex; father, Robert; children, Sara Coombes, step-daughter, Tiffany Trevino; grandson, Desmond Uber; and his family by marriage, brother, Tony Bowles; father, Richard Bowles and mother Anna Kirkpatrick.
Family and friends are welcome to visit and celebrate Dan’s life on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at from 3 p.m. to 8 pm. Arch L. Heady Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
