Warner Dale Smith, 89, of West Point, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at his residence. Dale was an Air Force Veteran during the Korean War and a member of Ritchie Trent American Legion Post 148 of West Point. He was retired from Rohm and Haas. Dale was an avid hunter and loved watching the Ohio River flow in front of his house.
Dale was met at the gates of heaven, by his first wife Joyce Diane Smith, daughter Cheryl Smith Wright, brothers R. Gene Smith and Michael Smith. He has left behind to cherish his memory his wife Deborah Smith, daughter Christy Smith of Mt. Washington, son Paul Smith (Nicki) of Brandenburg, his grandchildren; Kari Smith of Mt. Washington, Ethan and Abby Smith, Ben, Nate and Catie Rose Banks of Brandenburg. Three brothers Jack Smith of Lexington, Barry Smith of Louisville, Patrick Smith (Jennifer) of Mt. Washington.
Dale choose cremation, his celebration will be held Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Ritchie Trent American Legion Post 148 in West Point KY from 2-5 PM. Advantage Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Fond memories may be left for the Smith family at www.advantagefunerals.com.
