Cynthia Ann Gant

Cynthia Ann Gant, age 64 of Louisville, KY, joined her heavenly father on Monday, June 14, 2021. She was born to the late Barbara and Arthur Lee Sewell in Dalton, Georgia. Cynthia’s brother, Arthur Sewell also precedes her in passing.

Cynthia was a University of Kentucky fan, always watching the games with her family. Her favorite moments were the times she had to spend with her friends and family. She spent many years as a graphic design artist, always sharing her creative side with others. Cynthia’s pride and joy was being called “Nana” by her three granddaughters. Through her courageous battle with cancer, her friends, family and loyal fury companion Jasper, kept her faith strong.

Here to cherish her memory is the father of her children and life-long friend, James “Tony” Gant, children; Joshua (Morgan) Gant and Jessica Derting (Matthew), grandchildren; Harper and Haley Gant and Brooklyn Derting, fury companion, Jasper.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 3-7PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218. Funeral Mass will start at 10am at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40291. Cynthia will be laid to rest follow Mass in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Cynthia to American Cancer Society.
