Curtis was a 2006 graduate of North Bullitt High School. He was attending Brown Mackie College.
Curtis is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leonard Heckel; maternal grandparents, Curtis and Patricia Dick; and paternal great-grandparents, Clarence and Edna Gash.
He is survived by his father, Terry Heckel (Diana); mother, Carol Logsdon (Wayne); sister, Jenna Heckel (Kaden Smith); step-sister, Rachel Smallwood; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Heckel; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral service will be 10am on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visiation will be from 1-8pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
