

She was a graduate of Mercy Academy, class of 1951, and a former employee of the Louisville and Nashville Railroad for 12 years. She, with her deceased husband, John L. Braun, were former owners of Highland Optical Company for 25 years, and later she retired from the Department of Defense Finance and Accounting Services.
Chris was preceded in death by her husband John and twin grandsons, Nolan Louis and Ryan Joseph.
She is survived by loving daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Sullivan, her son-in-law, Michael E. Sullivan, and her three grandsons, Michael Braun, Shaun Edward and Kevin Quinton, as well as countless extended family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 8409 Hudson Lane, with interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, August 26th at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road from 3-8 p.m.
