Chester Lee Cook

Chester Lee Cook, age 88 passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. He was born August 18, 1935, the son of Wilber Cook and Mable Decker. Chet worked for General Electric on the assembly line where he retired after 35 plus years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. However, overall he loved his family. He was a devoted husband and family man.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Marvin Cook, two sisters: Shirley Baker and Carolyn Drake.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jean Brown Cook, four children: Joel Cook, Rita Kallembach, Vanessa Minton (Keith), and Billy Cook (Amy), two brothers, Darrel Cook (Brenda) and James Cook, one sister, Janice Brewer, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Chester will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).

A funeral service will occur Monday, August 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM followed by a graveside service in Resthaven Memorial Park.
