Charles A. Wright, Sr., 63, of Louisville, passed away suddenly on the afternoon of February 2, 2015. He was retired from AT& T formerly Bellsouth with over 35 years of service, and was a huge U of L fan. Throw in that he was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and an outstanding landscaper, along with a awesome baker, cook and phenomenal housekeeper, and you have captured his essence.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and Johnny Wright along with his dad, Frank M. Wright.
Left cherishing his memory is his loving wife of 37 years this past week, Joyce B. Greene Wright; children, Joycelyn Greene, Terri Wright-Freeman, Charles A. Jr. ( Nerisha) Wright ; mother, Elizabeth Dawson Wright; siblings, Nettie (Burnace) Overstreet, Bob (Francis) Wright, Mary (Milton) Smith, Anne (Lawrence) Winburn, Jimmy Wright, Sara Bradford, Richard Wright, Jean (Chuck) Moran, Barbara Dow, Debra Wright, and Timothy (Florence) Wright; There were grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he loved left cherishing his memory also, Randy Croney, Javon Freeman, Len Staten, Jade Wright, Brendyn Freeman, Jhai Wright and Taniyah and Amiyah.
A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday from 11 am - 2 pm at the funeral home.
