Charles H. Moody, 90, of Louisville returned to his heavenly father on June 30, 2015. He was born to the late George and Elsa Moody in Erie, Pa on January 27, 1925. Chuck was a WWII Navy veteran, and retired from G.E. as a manufacturing engineer. He attended Gannon College and CA Poly Institute of Technology. Chuck was a charter member of Hurstbourne Baptist Church, a member of Suburban Lodge #740, a Kosair Shriner, an Honorary Kentucky Colonel and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite member.
Chuck was preceded in death by his brother, George Moody and children, Sharon Kezios and Michael Brown.
He leaves behind to grieve his loving wife, Doris Cundiff Moody of 55 years; a daughter, Karen Bassett; grandchildren, Tamara Aruj, Michael Joffe, Daniel Kezios, Lisa Higdon; a great-granddaughter, Bliss Aruj; a sister, Ruth Lewis; a sister-in-law, Billie Lee; his loving niece and nephew, Bobby and Lauren Johnston; a son-in-law, George Kezios who cared for him during his illness and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Chuck will be layed to rest following services in the chapel on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with private burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1-5 on Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hurstbourne Baptist Church, Petri Class.
