Charles Irvin McVey entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday February 2, 2024 surrounded by his 3 Daughters. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Ruth McVey; Son, Michael McVey and Parents, Charles and Dana (Smith) McVey; Granddaughter, Wendy Parker. Charles was a member and Deacon of Hillsdale Baptist Church. He retired from U.S Civil Service at Fort Knox. He was a proud Veteran of the Air Force and served his country well. He also proudly served as a volunteer firefighter with West Point Fire Department and he retired after more than 30 years that he dedicated to his community. He is survived by his Daughters, Carolyn Sue Jeffries (William), Brenda Baird, Jeanette Parker (James); 10 Grandchildren and 33 Great Grandchildren. His Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12noon at the Advantage Funeral Home – Hardy Chapel, with Burial following in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is on Wednesday from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
