Charles M Lile

Charley was born December 12, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Albert and Rosie Lile. He was the owner of Charles Lile Painting and Paper Hanging for over 30 years.

Charley was the Coach and President of the Camp Taylor Little League when his sons were young. Charley enjoyed spending time at their camp at Rough River Lake. He also enjoyed fishing, decorating for the holidays, tinkering around in his garage and working in his yard. Charley was also a member and on the Board of Directors of the Kosair Shriner’s. He loved working on the floats and collecting money for the Shriner kids.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis. His siblings Gene and Billy; sisters, Pam and Penny.

Charley is survived by his two sons and their spouses, Chuck and Jenny of Jeffersonville and Tony and Elizabeth of Louisville; four grandchildren Kacie, Carrie (Trey Yager), Christina and Nathan; three great-grandchildren Mason and Everly Yager and Bella Lile; sister Sharon Moss, and his beloved fur baby, Henry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday.
