Cecil Raymond Davis, age 97, of Louisville, died peacefully December 16, 2016 at Baptist East Hospital. Cecil was a CPA and retired after 29 years of being a Controller and the Assistant Treasurer for the Courier Journal.
He is survived by his children, Aleta G. Guthrie (Walton), Michael D. Davis (Beverly), Phillip R. Davis (Mary), LaVada G. Davis and D. Patrick Davis (Michelle), 11 grand-children, 26 great-grandchildren and 15 great great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Fronda Davis and son, Charles R. Davis, PhD.
Family and Friends are welcome to visit on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 3-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd.
A funeral service for Cecil will be held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 12pm. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Louisville, KY.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Childplace, 2420 E 10th St, Jeffersonville, IN 47130 are welcomed.
