Cecil was known to most as simply "Papaw" even those outside the family. He served honorably in the
Korean war and was also stationed in Japan between 1950-1952.
Cecil was a devoted husband, father & grandfather. Cecil had a love for animals especially his dogs.
He was the most strong, hardworking, & honest man with such a generous spirit.
Cecil is processed in death by his parents Rush and Sylvia Bishop, his wife Dorothy Bishop,
his children, Michael Bishop Sr. and Sandra Partin, his grandson, Michael Bishop Jr & great-grandson, Jordan Russell.
Cecil leaves behind his grandchildren, Barton Bishop, Tabitha Russell (Josh) Bradley Bishop (Michelle) and Kelly Hayes as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Cecil will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Cecil will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
