Katie Fields, 91, passed away Friday morning in Louisville, surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by husband, Charlie, and daughter Mary Lynn.
Katie is survived by daughters Patti (Jim) Wente of Danville, Paula (Dick) Cesler of Louisville, Karen (Mark) Johnson of New Haven, Jane (Graham Pohl) Fields of Lexington, Pam (Barth) Johnson of Butler and Tina (Gary) Beavin of Prospect, and sons Mike (Denise) of Lexington, Chuck (Jayne) of Evansville and Joe (Jana) of Lexington.
Katie had 21 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
Katie was a strong woman, a widow for 44 years, whose lifelong focus was her family. She also made the best spaghetti sauce and the best banana pudding in the world.
Visitation is Monday 5 to 8 p.m. at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave., Louisville. Funeral Mass is Tuesday 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Cherrywood Rd., Louisville. Burial will be In Calvary Cemetery.
