Carolyn "Susie" Sue Santiago

Carolyn Sue "Susie" Santiago, age 49, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. She graduated from Hazard High School and was a LPN. Susie loved animals and the outdoors. She enjoyed hiking, swimming, gardening, and drawing.

Susie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mabel and David Russell; paternal grandparents, Mildred and Watson Caudill; aunts and uncles, Carol Russell Smith, Bobby Ralph Smith, Claude "Bud" Russell, Marvin "Buddy" Combs, Ron Estepp, and Owen Caudill.

Left to cherish Susie's memory are her children, Gabriella Tsappi Fonseca (Sam), OIivia Peterson (Ryan), Fernando Santiago, Julia Santiago; grandchildren, Ilias Fonseco, Leo Fonseco, Rylein Peterson; parents, Bobby and Blanche Caudill; brother, Michael Caudill; aunts and uncles, Bernice and Olan Adams, Brenda and Eddie Turner, Chris and Bob Turner, Gano and Vickie Caudill, Sue Karatz, Thelma Russell, Vivian Esteep, Richard and Margaret Russell, Linda Combs, Ruth and Vernon Slone; nieces, Sister Daniel Albert (Mikalyn Caudill), Cassedy Caudill, Shiloh Caudill and many extended family and dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Summit Church, 147 Century Circle Hazard, Kentucky 41701 at 12pm. Inurnment will be in Russell Cemetery at Lotts Creek in Hazard.
