Carla Ann Wilson

After graduating from Holy Rosary High School in 1978, she attended Sullivan University, graduated with an associate’s degree in Accounting and made the Dean's list. She met her husband, Jimmy Wilson when she was a junior in High school and they were married in 1988.

Her life was filled with many memories of being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed family vacations at Rough River Lake, attending many sporting events for both her children and grandchildren and spoiling her grandchildren. She truly loved her family and adored being a Nana of her 2 grandsons."

Her father Samuel Newton preceded Carla in death.

She leaves behind her husband of 32 years, James "Jimmy" Wilson; her daughter Kathrine "Katie" Wilson (Mark), daughter Jamie Wilson (Brian), two grandchildren: Caleb and Reed. Mother Praxie Mcqueary, older Brother, Mike Newton (Lainey), and younger brother Chris Newton (Monica) as well as many close aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial service to celebrate Carla’s life will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 3pm in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home-Okolona, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky 40219. A Memorial gathering will be from 11am-3pm. In order to adhere to applicable public health requirements, family and friends are asked wear face masks and practice social distancing at all times during the services.
