Carl Franklin Hicks Jr.

Carl Franklin Hicks Jr., 73 of Louisville, passed away November 18, 2019. He was the son of the late Carl and Alberta Hicks. Carl retired after 35 years from being CEO of the Jefferson County Federal Credit Union. Carl was on several boards and committees within the Credit Union industry. He was a KY Colonel and a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church. Carl was also an avid UK fan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: James Hicks; and a granddaughter: Rachel.

Left to cherish Carl’s memories are his beloved wife of 47 years: Debbie Hicks; his children: Becky Hicks, Brian Hicks, Jason Hicks (Brittany), Jamie Hicks (Sheila), and Jenni Newkirk (Brian); his 14 grandchildren; and many extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, November 22, 2019 at St. Athanasius Catholic Church 5915 Outer Loop Louisville, KY 40219. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Arch L Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Rd Louisville, KY 40218.
